Project Overview
This project is a 6th Form Common Room and Café at 1st floor level over the existing school canteen
including the construction of two stair cores and a lift for disabled access.
The project was completed on time and within budget with no health and safety issues on site. This project was technically very difficult and made harder by having to work around the school in term time and the fact that the canteen beneath our building had to remain operational. The large steel frame had to be installed onto piled concrete bases in an area that was inaccessible to any vehicle including cranes.
The external walls were constructed out of a metal framework with an insulated rendered finish.
